Wine Map of Italy

No wine producing country - not even the great France - can rival Italy in its vast diversity of wine styles, grape varieties, and geography. Wine is so intertwined with the life and land of Italy that it is popularly considered one giant vineyard. Indeed, the ancient Greeks called their Italian colonies Oenotria, the land of wine.

When the 1st edition of this map was published in 2011, it was the first modern comprehensive map of Italy's wine regions. It has been updated continually since then.

Includes: all DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata), DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) and IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta) regions; detail maps of Piedmont DOCs, Piedmont DOCGs and Chianti subregions.
